Getting to know me (starts singing)..

I've seen this in quite a few blogs, and I think the more personal you get with your readers, the better :) This may be slightly lengthy (In other words I have had a lot of questions and this post will be lengthy) so if you have no interest in knowing more about me I would click off this post right now otherwise grab a cuppa or some other beverage, relax and enjoy.

Me... (The boring part)

Do you have any siblings?
Yes, I have one 19 yr old sister.
How old are you?
I'm 16 & my birthday is on the 27th Feb, same as my mums!(just thought i'd share that).

What's your height?
5ft 2"  (I know i'm short)
What's your top/dress size?
I'm an English size 6/8
Do you workout/How do you stay so slim?
This is going to sound terrible, but I don't really workout as such. I have an high metabolism hence making me slim and I play hockey three times a week until April when the season ends. I know many people who say to me "omg your so lucky" but i'd actually like to be a teeny bit bigger as finding clothes that fit me on the shoulders especially is somewhat impossible & i'm sure one day my metabolism will change, and i will put on loads of weight because of my current diet. ;)
Do you have any pets?
I have 4 ducks(Donald,Daisy,Pancake and Crispy).I also used to have a fish but that was eaten (not by a human) & i LOVED it. Pugs are my favorite . They're adorable.

What do you feel is your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement? Hhmm (long pause).Getting my business grant. I think..
What did you take for your GCSE'S ?

I took Spanish , Textiles, Business studies & History (WHY??)
What’s your favorite cereal?
I am obsessed with lucky charms!
Do you have any phobias?

Blood. I have an extremely extreme phobia of it. Everybody who I am close with knows how bad it is. Even if it is the smallest cut in the world I am highly likely to faint or vomit. Not helped by the fact my sister is studying to be a nurse... I don't know why my phobia is so bad, I don't know  what brought on it but I can't even look at it. This also leads to panic attacks a lot of the time and increases my anxiety.
Have you ever had a near death experience?
I really don't think i have. :( wait that's a good thing....A car nearly crashed in to us last year...that could be one? I don't really have a death wish so  I try to avoid the most dangerous high adrenaline activities. Boring I know!
Do you get mad easily?
Yes I am really bad. Most of the time though its because i'm stressed and I get stressed way to quickly and rather than upset most of the time I get mad. oops
When was the last time you cried?
Here comes another one of my stupid ways...I cry at mostly everything. Films, Books,Songs, other people crying, everything. I am a really sensitive person and I think I have an overload of hormones because I cry at loads even animation films..well what can I say I'm an emotional wreck.

  Beauty/Shopping...

Heels or flats?
Flats in the day, Heels at night
Favourite moisturiser?
Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief. This works a treat because my skin gets dry very quickly.
Where do you buy most of your clothes from?
new look/topshop/boohoo

Favourite Shop?
I can't answer this annoyingly.I don't have a favorite shop.
Favourite makeup brand?
Nars or Bare Minerals

  Other/Random
What does your last text message say?
Migrate back to uni(not as bad as it sounds)
Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
I do this all the time. It  is a really bad habit, I take all the sachets too. They are there to be used though....
What do you drink with dinner
Milk if I am home but tonic water or fanta when I am out to dinner.
What movies could you watch over and over and still love?
I’d rather spend my day watching YouTube videos, so Zoella, Pointless Blog or Tanya Burr.        Actually all the YouTubers. I love them all.
What is your usual bedtime
It changes every single night. Way too late.

Alrighty then. That took me a while to do.
Hope you like it & I answered you're questions okay?

Smile and Walk away....

Today I am going to show you what I fell in love with but had to quickly walk away from.

Walking into Selfridges is amazing and for one moment we like to think we can afford most of what we see in there ( Alexander McQueen clutches and Michael Kors watches) but we can't... So there I was walking through Selfridges with my sister when I spotted these beaut Kurt Geiger's Although they weren't exactly hard to spot. Many people may look and think why do you even like them? But I love bright colours and  I have the tendency to play it safe with shoes , in fact most of mine are black and I own a lot...... that makes me sound like a really miserable person. I love love love these shoes, and I was pretty positive I could walk in them- haha. They were however around £300 so I politely smiled at the sales assistant, said my goodbyes and walked away :(

Moving up a floor it didn't take me long to find something else which I loved and personally I thought was actually a necessity, despite already owning a set of make-up brushes. These Bobbi Brown make-up brushes felt really really good quality and were the perfect size for taking with you travelling. Top marks for the size of the bag. I recommend these to people who are just starting to enjoy make-up and want to start learning proper techniques for applying it. Also whilst on the topic of Bobbi Brown I have always recommended the Bobbi Brown make-up manual. The book is like my make-up bible and I have had it for years. It taught me loads of techniques and just increased my fondness in make-up. Whether you are a beginner or a pro everybody needs this book! Best £20 I ever spent. Back to the brushes ,my sister kindly pointed out that I owned them all already so it would pointless me buying them (again). There is just no winning her over Damn!

Hidden Spinach Berry Smoothie

At the moment I have really been getting into eating a lot healthier because being honest I am terrible when it comes to eating healthy! I eat far too much pizza and if it wasn’t for my quick metabolism I’m sure I would weigh around 32 stone. I have however decided to make a change and get into better eating habits mainly because I spent a week with my cousin Leah and she eats so healthily I haven’t even heard of half the stuff she puts into smoothies and salads. One of the recipes Leah suggested to me was a super quick and easy green berry smoothie. Now when I saw what went into this I really didn’t like the idea of combining raspberries and strawberries with spinach. However this smoothie tasted amazing and it was as if the spinach wasn’t even there (not as good as pizza though) and also had the added benefit of lots of nutrients. I made this to drink on my way up to college and it left me full of energy and it has greatly improved my skin it is clearer and just looks a lot more refreshed. Therefore I am going to let you in on the recipe for this smoothie so you can also rake in the benefits…This is what I call Hidden Spinach Berry Smoothie

1 ½  Cup of Spinach (Packed)
1 Cups of Frozen Red Berries ( Raspberries, Strawberries etc.)
½  Cup of Natural Yoghurt or Almond Milk
½ Banana

Blend the frozen berries and spinach together, then add the yoghurt/almond milk and banana and continue to blend until smooth and serve.

That really is it! It takes 5 minutes to make and yet has lots of benefits. I added some flax seeds to mine and you can use different berries do whatever get creative! If you do have any ideas then feel free to leave them in the comments below I would love to know.

I am going to leave you with this post with one tip if the smoothie seems to thick and difficult to blend add some milk or water.

Oh So Vintage.....

Currently I am going crazy over trying new vintage looks whether its what I am wearing or how I style my hair and make-up.

The first hairstyle I have been playing around with at the moment is a half beehive complete with finger waves and a small victory roll in the back. It may sound really difficult but it basically involves a whole load of back coming and a lot of hairspray!

I wore this hairstyle out to quite a formal occasion rather than as an everyday look because it does take about half an hour to do and I also think if you did want to wear it as an everyday look it would need toning down.

To achieve the hairstyle I started by separating the top and bottom of my hair. Taking the top part of my hair I began to back comb it and placing styling powder between the layers as I went along. Once I was happy with the amount of volume I had put in my hair I pulled it all over to the back of my head and pushed it up. Using a dressing brush I smoothed my hair out and created an even semi circle on my head. I then simply clipped it into place.

I then took a small section from the bottom of my hair and swirled it to create a roll around my fingers and pinned it into position. With the rest of my hair I used a large barreled curling wand to create ringlets and then brushed them out so they fell like finger waves.

Spray tons of hairspray all over to ensure that it won't fall out!!

Walla that is it! It will take some practice ( It took me about 17 attempts..) but one thing I would advice is that you put your hair in a middle parting to begin with.

I'm sorry if how I explained it made no sense but at least I tried!!

In my next post I am going to talk about a vintage make-up look that I have been loving and go through all the products I used.

Yummmy Scrummy.....

The other day I went down to Liverpool to visit my sister ( She goes to uni there) It took about three hours on the train down there...Jeez.

This meant by the time I arrived I was starving which is when we came across the Little Pizza Kitchen. MY GOD.....the pizzas were incredible if Huddersfield had one of these I would be there everyday not even exaggerating. I am gutted that there is nowhere near me that does pizza that tastes that good! I am also pretty sure I couldn't persuade my sister to let me stay at hers more often....

Yum :)  (Sorry for the slightly crappola photos)
